Course Information

This course is process based and will take you on a journey beginning with drawing from objects natural and made, making prints from these objects, then making the objects and then drawing from your somewhat wonky and delightful creations, completing a full circle of thought processes and creative problem solving. Through these simple but challenging processes you will begin to understand forms, colour and composition while building skills with your hands both through printmaking and paper sculpture. An open mind and an attitude of fun will go a long way in this course and will allow scope for seeing how important observation is in all aspects of creativity. Slide talks will show ways that artists have used objects and vessels in their work both as painters and sculptors.
