Welcome to Bridge house Art, a creative and exciting environment for making and studying art. The studio sits above the fast flowing Ullapool River and offers excellent studio facilities for a maximum of seven students. It is open to all, the beginner or experienced artist alike and aims to develop a greater visual language, increase creativity and encourage new direction.

The ethos behind the courses is that all can learn to think and communicate visually and to express through a variety of media a genuine response to the environment around. Art provides an understanding and enjoyment of the world, and can open doors to a fresh awareness of ourselves in relationship to it.

Along side the challenge of the courses, Ullapool provides a base from which to explore the Western Isles, with the ferry to Lewis and Various boat trips to the Summer Isles. It is also an excellent starting point for those who wish to enter into the hills or enjoy quiet walks along the shores of Loch Broom.

In addition to the summer courses, there is a two-term Portfolio course designed for those who wish to apply for degree study at art school or who would like to study art at a deeper level.
