Sketches in oils to self-expression 9th - 13th August 2010 This will be a busy week of oil painting, during which students will execute numerous sketches of the land and sea in and around Ullapool. These sketches will provide a visual understanding of the physical nature of the environment as well as the students' experiential response to it. The process of engaging with the paint; its colour, tone, viscosity and texture, will give the students a personal and intuitive means to express themselves in this exciting and limitless medium.
