Painting tour to Jordan with Rufus Reade Tours
Bridge House Art has worked with Rufus Reade tours for over ten years painting and drawing through countries such as Northern Cyprus, Central and southern Turkey, Istanbul, Georgia, Sicily, jordan, Bhutan and India.
It is planned that in September 2013 we will visit the beautiful country of Jordan, with the chance to draw and paint from historic and remarkable sites such as Jerash and Petra.
To accompany Rufus on a tour is always an adventure, and the days are planned so that both painter and non painter have full opportunities to explore the county by short walks, interesting and exciting coffee stops, cross country journeys that show the diversity of the land and accommodation that is both luxurious and off the beaten track. It is the traveller in Rufus that finds the alternative to the ordinary, offering a way to see the country at its best.
Painters are encouraged to work with their own choice of materials and slide talks are given to inspire as we travel together as a group. Tution is given individually and informal group critiques are frequently at the end of the day at a little venue accompanied by refreshment! Many people over the years have worked solely in a sketchbook gathering abundant sketches as a means to gather information to reflect on when back home. Both beginner and experienced artists are warmly welcome.
