Contemporary Bookmaking
Working with your own drawings, mementos, and collected ephemera, you will be introduced to a full range of experimental book forms, learning the principals to make various structures including a pamphlet stitch, a multi-section book, a hardback concertina with bellyband and several books from 1 sheet of paper. Inspired by countless examples of artists' publications, we will explore narrative and sequence, form and content, text and image using print/type/stitch and folding techniques.
