Andalucia in early may is a pleasure to behold, the landscape is filled with wild flowers, white villages are nestled into lush forested hillsides and hidden farmhouses lie in wait to be discovered, in contrast to the rural landscape there is a trip to the historic and vibrant town of Ronda, all offering an exciting challenge to the artist.
Following the success of last years first visit to the home of Hugh and Jane Arbuthnott, it is a pleasure to offer again a course exploring Andalucia.
The course will take students on a journey through drawing, painting and mixed media inspired by the surrounding landscape. Evening slide talks look at the work of other artists and will set the scene to the following days work. Demonstrations will help students to explore new media and take risks in the way in which they approach their work. The course will suit painters and non-painting partners as a full programme of activities are open to all to participate in as they wish. Hugh and Jane offer excellent hospitality and attention to detail from the exquisite food prepared, organisation, humour and Good Company.
