Object and Memory

30th June-4th July 2014
Tutor: Eleanor White

Fully Booked

Looking deeper into the objects that surround us everyday whether they have been treasured and then discarded and have the wear of weather ingrained into their surface or objects that are still used and overlooked in the daily grind.
Both natural and man made objects will be used as a stimulus for drawing and writing and will act as a jumping off point to develop observational, abstracted and illustrated images around a theme that the objects inspire.
This in turn will support quite different end results as each person explores the creative content of their chosen objects and the imagined or real landscapes that they inhabit.

All courses run from 9.30am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. All materials and equipment are supplied, with a simple lunch provided daily. It is important to wear old clothes as art is a messy business. Be prepared and dress for the Highland weather, expect sun and rain, four seasons have been experienced in one day! Outdoor, waterproof clothing is essential.
